Holochain – Scalable agent – Centric distributed computing

The first Bratislava Holochain meetup will be hosted by the founder and CEO Arthur Brock and the Community Director, Eric Bear.

This meetup is for anyone interested in decentralized applications, building trust within and between groups scalably (in contrast to the blockchain’s “trustless” ethos), or in value based collaboration and P2P regenerative economy models of the emerging future*. This may include community organizers, software developers, entrepreneurs, academics, activists, smart city enthusiasts, and others. The event will be organized in two parts – an introductory talk and a more interactive part. You’ll be free to ask in-depth questions, share and get advice on your project ideas, discuss specific use cases, and get to the technical nitty-gritty if desired.

Don’t miss the opportunity to connect with Arthur, meet others interested in the technology, or even get actively involved in early projects and community happenings!

Holochain Meetups are a part of the series culminating with the Rebooting the Web of Trust (#RWOT9) conference between 3rd and 6th and the Holochain hackathon between 7th – 8th September. We’re inviting teams focusing on verifiable news, P2P energetics, P2P credentials in education and psychotherapy as well as smart city commons governance – and we’re open to your ideas and participation! Are you intrigued, but don’t know how to program? Take your programmer friends with you 😉 Are you a programmer, but don’t do Rust? No worries – a coding series is upcoming, and in the near future, you’ll be able to create hApps in a wide range of languages.

Overview and introduction from Moritz Bierling:

More technical overview for developers:

P2PFoundation has identified Holochain as a leading candidate for such use cases.
