ETH India

Let’s build the decentralised future

The leading minds in the crypto space are joining over 500 hackers from around the world to collaborate together on decentralized applications using Ethereum. With an exponential increase in adoption, developer interest, and other teams building on top of Ethereum, there has never been a better time to be a part of the community, building Web 3.

ETHIndia brings together the curious minds, industry experts and companies pushing the way forward in crypto space. Time to #BUIDL in Asia!

#1 BUIDL meetup

We will kickoff our first meetup with 3 great talks on a 3 different topics! Join us on 18. June in Algebra Lab where we’ll share knowledge first and then some drinks & pizza. Networking will continue most probably after that too 🙂

17:15 – Cracking down Loom sidechains by Mak Muftić from NodeFactory

Has CryptoZombies team found current solution for one of the Ethereum’s most talked about problem? Mak will give an overview of how scaling of Ethereum based DApps using Loom sidechain works. What’s the Loom Networks current state, potential and planned future.

17:45 – BUIDL with design by Marko Prljić

Blockchain space is largely developer driven and is lacking good UX. We keep hearing that all the time, but what are we doing to change this? Existing design practices such as user research, journey mapping, personas, storyboards, as well as Design Thinking, Design Sprints can and should be part of our development processes. Bringing design practices into the blockchain product development is necessary to make the most impact for a more human, decentralized future and helps everyone make better decisions when BUIDLing new solutions.

18:15 – Tech for Fair Data Society by Zenel Batagelj and Tadej Fius from Datafund

Datafund is a project, a protocol that guards personal data, provides safe storage and enables ethical data exchange. Individuals create their own datafunds to reclaim, own and manage their data. It strongly relies on Ethereum and Swarm which is a distributed storage platform and content distribution network, a native base layer service of the Ethereum web3 stack, also called “bittorent on steroids” as Viktor Tron described it a few years ago. Zenel and Tadej will present the development of the project, what is there for those believing in FairDataSociety and want to BUIDL there including fairdrop, fds.js, chatty and the roadmap for the next 4 months.

19:00 – Networking with pizza & drinks

BUIDL meetups wouldn’t be possible without our sponsors, so we thank Algebra Lab, NodeFactory, ABC Tech Zagreb, Aeternity, Consensys and Greyp bikes for supporting us.
