The conference is part of an expansion of the Business School and Program for Financial Studies’ engagement in FinTech research.
Leveraging its location in New York City, Columbia Business School’s Program for Financial Studies aims to provide a central forum for discussion and promotion of new academic research on technological change in finance. The goal of the conference is to bring together academics and relevant practitioners in an area where such interaction is especially important.
The broad conference themes will include large and/or unstructured datasets, applications of machine learning and AI in the finance industry and academic research, technological change and innovation, impact of digital and decentralized financial services, new trading technologies, blockchain and alternative currencies.
