Is Quantum the end for cryptography?

November 20, 2019 @ 18:30 21:30

The most important element in IT security is cryptography. At least, that’s what cryptographers will tell you. But what will happen now that quantum computers are around the corner? Will it be the end for crypto? The end of PKI?

In this meetup our speaker will talk to you about current and future trends in cryptography. WhatsApp’s encryption is under pressure. Can it be adapted so governments can read along safely? The quantum computer is either around the corner or still a dream for the future. Either way, what will it do with cryptography? Will it makes us safer or not? What’s here to stay in cryptography, and which technologies will disappear after 2020?
